JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 12-year-old boy has been arrested in the April shooting death of a 12-year-old girl, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
Ra'Mya Eunice was shot in the head by the boy, Tyron Calhoun, who was 11 at the time, during a sleepover on Willow Branch Avenue on April 30.
Ra'Mya's death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner. On Tuesday, a warrant was issued for Tyron and he was arrested without incident on Friday.
Tyron is being charged with manslaughter. Police said he found a gun underneath the house.
Weeks after the shooting, Ra'Mya died at the hospital.
