JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Cox Media Group Jacksonville TV and Jacksonville University Athletics announced on Wednesday a new broadcast partnership that names Action Sports Jax TV the exclusive home of JU Athletics broadcasts in Northeast Florida.
Under the agreement, Action Sports Jax TV will air live Jacksonville University Athletics events each season on free over the air on WJAX-TV 47.2 and on Xfinity channels 216 and 1188 HD and Fubo TV.

“Jacksonville University has been part of Northeast Florida for more than 90 years, and Dolphins fans deserve to see their teams on free, local television,” Omesh Somaru, VP and General Manager of Cox Media Group Jacksonville TV, said. “Adding JU Athletics to Action Sports Jax TV gives fans more ways to follow the Dolphins and gives local businesses a direct connection to one of Jacksonville’s most loyal hometown audiences.”

Jacksonville University joins a growing Action Sports Jax TV lineup that includes the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Orlando Magic and the Tampa Bay Lightning, making WJAX-TV 47.2 one of the most sports-rich free over-the-air channels in the Southeast.
The broadcast schedule, including specific games and airtimes, will be announced before the first telecast.
