DCPS: Elementary school employee reassigned after reportedly bringing dead cat onto campus

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Duval County Public Schools District announced that an employee of Sanbal Palm Elementary has been reassigned after reportedly bringing a dead cat onto campus.

Accoriding to DCPS, the principal shared that students and staff had been safely relocated. No students came into contact with the animal or knew it was present.

As a precaution, the district says the maintenance team thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected the classroom.
