JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Fla. Gov. Rick Scott attended the Tuesday morning ribbon-cutting ceremony for Deutsche Bank’s expanded campus in Jacksonville.
The company is adding about 300 jobs in Jacksonville by the end of 2017.
“We want to get more companies to move here,” Scott said. “Why are they going to come here? Why? Because they can compete locally better here. Our taxes are lower here. Our regulations are less. We also have a great workforce.”
The Jacksonville Deutsche Bank branch started with just 100 people in an operations center and now it has nearly 2,000 employees. The Jacksonville branch is one of the largest operations in the U.S. outside of New York.
