JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The inaugural JAX Recovery Festival will take place this Saturday, Sept. 26, in Jacksonville, in recognition of National Recovery Month. The free event is open to the public and aims to support individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health challenges.
Hosted by The Salvation Army and organized by The Recovery Committee, the festival is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The gathering will be held at Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park, located at 120 Lee St. in Jacksonville.
Michael Armand and Tamera Colcord serve as co-chairs for the event. The festival centers on the message “We Do Recover” to highlight support within the local community.
Attendees will have access to recovery resources, 12-step support groups, behavioral health providers, and faith-based organizations. The schedule also features speakers, food, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
