ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Florida Water Tours is introducing a new Nights of Lights Holiday Jazz Cruise in St. Augustine, featuring live music from the HighTide Players for the upcoming holiday season.
St. Augustine’s annual Nights of Lights festival runs from Nov. 21, through Jan. 18, 2027. Florida Water Tours, which has operated boat tours during the event for a decade, is adding the 90-minute music cruise to its seasonal schedule across three vessels.
Florida Water Tours owner Jessica Jadick highlighted the seasonal appeal of viewing the light display from the water. “We absolutely love this time of year,” Jadick said. “There’s something so special about seeing St. Augustine completely lit up from the water. On those calm nights when the water is as clear as glass and you can see the lights reflecting, it’s truly breathtaking. Even after all these years, it never gets old. We love being able to share that experience with our guests and see the magic of Nights of Lights through their eyes.”
The 90-minute Holiday Jazz Cruise is restricted to passengers ages 21 and older and takes place aboard the vessel Great Blue Heron. Local musicians perform jazz standards and holiday music on board. Passengers receive one complimentary glass of boutique wine or hot cocoa, with departures scheduled for 7:15 p.m. and 9 p.m. on select Fridays.
Florida Water Tours is also running its Sunset Nights of Lights Cruise and standard Nights of Lights Cruise every evening during the festival. The 90-minute sunset option offers an adults-only departure at 5 p.m. and a family departure at 5:15 p.m.
The 75-minute after-dark cruise features family departures at 6:45 p.m. and adults-only trips at 8:15 p.m.Both the Osprey and Great Blue Heron feature onboard bars. Guests can purchase beer, wine, canned cocktails, Irish cream for hot cocoa and non-alcoholic beverages.
The Nights of Lights festival opens Nov. 21, 2026 and runs through Jan. 18, 2027. The Holiday Jazz Cruise departures begin Dec. 4, 2026 and run on select Fridays through Jan. 15, 2027.
