ORANGE PARK, Fla. — Orange Park Mall is entering a new era.
The Clay County shopping center marked its 51st anniversary Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating a refreshed brand identity — including a new logo featuring a reimagined version of the mall’s iconic orange tree, along with a vibrant color palette mall leaders say reflects the center’s roots in North Florida.
“Most of our projects this year have included and completed a fresh new interior paint job. All new lighting, LED lighting throughout the center to give it a bright look,” said Randy Bowman, General Manager of Orange Park Mall. “So when you walk in, it feels bigger and brighter, more friendly.”
The rebrand comes alongside a renewed push to draw shoppers back into brick-and-mortar stores. The mall is home to more than 120 national and local retailers, a 24-screen AMC Theatre, and more than 20 diverse eateries.
Mall leaders and the Clay County Chamber of Commerce say they’re excited to usher in the new look as the center enters its next chapter.
But the mall has also been the site of at least one “teen takeover” incident in recent years, prompting the mall to roll out a Youth Supervision Policy in partnership with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
“We haven’t discouraged teenagers from coming. We still have teenagers here. They’re here every day,” Bowman said.
Since October 17, 2025, anyone under 18 has been required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 21 or older on Fridays and Saturdays, with each guardian allowed to supervise up to four teens. The policy followed a July 2025 incident in which Clay County deputies had to break up a large, unsupervised crowd of teens at the mall.
Bowman confirmed the policy isn’t going anywhere despite the new look.
“The supervision policy remains in place,” he said. “It remains in place, yeah, absolutely.”
Orange Park Mall has served as a cornerstone of the Clay County and greater Jacksonville community since opening in 1975.
