Jacksonville Flower Market will host Dolly Parton Day on Sept. 25

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Flower Market will host “Dolly Parton Day” on Friday, Sept. 25. The event will feature themed floral arrangements and Dolly Parton’s music playing throughout the day.

Market staff organized the event to celebrate the life and legacy of the country music star. The date of Sept. 25 was chosen as a tribute to Parton’s hit song and film “nine to five”.

Visitors who attend the family-friendly event dressed in a Dolly Parton costume will receive a complimentary floral bouquet valued at $9.25.

Parton’s connection to flowers includes writing and performing the song “Yellow Roses,” which reached the top of the country singles chart in 1989.
