JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Some Uber drivers hand out water or mints to passengers, but Mama Cathy set the bar real high.
Cathy Taylor, who also goes by Mama Cathy, said she started driving for Uber six weeks ago to make some extra cash on the side and help pay off her debt.
Recently, she picked up a group of incoming freshmen at UNF and promised them a home-cooked meal.

"For me, it is fun and exciting because I'm a talker and I'm a people person," Mama Cathy said.
She delivered on her promised and dropped off baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans and corn bread.
"I do this solely from my heart just because I have a heart to serve others," Mama Cathy said.
The students posted about it on Twitter. The post went viral with more than 6,4000 retweets and 48,900 likes.

Jamie Hogan said the meal made them feel at home.
"We're all homesick and missing home so much," Hogan said. "We're like, ‘oh my gosh,' we literally have another mom in a different city."
Mama Cathy said she's looking forward to cooking another meal for the students and will even extend an invite for Thanksgiving.
UNF made Mama Cathy an honorary Osprey days after Action News Jax reporter Christy Turner reported this story:
