JSO: Person shot in Oceanway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update 7:40 p.m.: During a media briefing, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they received a call Saturday afternoon from an officer at UF Health Jacksonville saying a man walked into the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police, the man was shot in the back, feet and abdomen, but his injuries aren't life-threatening.

The gunshot victim told police where he parked his car, which had bullet holes in the roof, but JSO doesn't know where the shooting took place or why it happened.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office tweeted that it is responding to a person shot near 12000 West Sago Avenue in Oceanway.

JSO has yet to announce when they will be briefing the media on the incident.
