Man accused in Clay road rage shooting: 'The guy was aggressively approaching me'

The man accused in a road rage shooting on U.S. 17 in Fleming Island is out on bond.

Action News Jax confronted Timothy Carrow Thursday as he left the Clay County Jail.

The man, did not want to be identified, tells Action News Jax, “There was a truck in front of us he slammed on his brakes, we slammed on our brakes, and swerved to the left and drive past him … He came up really fast to the passenger side, shot the gun, I got hit.”

Carrow said, ““I ain’t got nothing to say man. It was road rage. The guy was aggressively approaching me, would not get off me. I don’t know what else to say than that.”

Deputies say a bullet hit the victim in the shoulder.

A judge Thursday Carrow does not know the victim.

Carrow’s bond was set at $60,000.His  next court date is November 20.
