Property owners in St. Johns County urged to update irrigation schedules after time change

ST.JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Following the recent time change as clocks fall back, property owners are urged to check their irrigation timers and ensure systems adhere to a strict one-day-per-week watering schedule.

As temperatures cool and lawns require less water, checking irrigation settings helps conserve local water resources. Lawn watering is strictly prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for all properties.

Watering days are assigned by address type. Properties with odd-numbered addresses or no address number are permitted to water on Saturday. Even-numbered residential addresses are scheduled for Sunday, while nonresidential properties are assigned to Tuesday.

On designated watering days, irrigation is limited to no more than one hour per zone or three-quarters of an inch per zone. Property owners are advised to water only when needed.
