CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Clay County Fire Rescue and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office are jointly hosting a nine/11 Remembrance Ceremony and Honor March in Green Cove Springs to observe the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11.
The event is designed to honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency responders who died during the Sept. 11 attacks. Local first responders from across the area will participate in the procession through downtown Green Cove Springs.
The Honor March is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m., with public viewing locations along Palmetto Avenue and Walnut Street.
The Remembrance Ceremony will follow at 9:30 a.m. at the Spring Park gazebo, where organizers will read the names of fallen emergency personnel. Seating will be provided at the park, though attendees may also bring their own chairs.
