ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The City of St. Augustine will mark Florida City Week from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23 with a series of public events. The annual observance highlights municipal employees, public programs, and essential community services.
Throughout the week, community members can meet with city leadership, learn about municipal operations, and participate in scheduled public events. The activities include informal coffee discussions with department directors, an environmental tour, and an interactive presentation by local law enforcement.
City leaders will host “Discussion with a Director” sessions at local coffee shops throughout the week. These informal meetings will give residents an opportunity to talk with city staff about municipal topics, including city management, planning and building, resilience and community services.
A walking tour of Fish Island Preserve is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The guided walk will cover the natural space’s history and environmental significance. Space is limited, and participants must register in advance.
The St. Augustine Police Department will host a police vehicle show and tell on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees can view department vehicles and equipment up close, as well as watch a drone demonstration. Registration is required to attend.
