"While we are grateful for the quick response by the school administrator and law enforcement, we ask for your assistance. Talk with your child about this incident and continue to emphasize their role in keeping Terry Parker safe," Pardue wrote.

After police found the student to be in possession of the gun, the gun was confiscated and the student was arrested, authorities said.

A student was arrested in February 2016 after a loaded gun was found in a folder on a table in a Terry Parker High School classroom. A loaded gun was also found at the school in March 2016.
