CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A mother and soon-to-be wife was laid to rest in Green Cove Springs on Tuesday.
Services for Erica Green, the third victim in a Green Cove Springs homicide last week, began at 11 a.m.
Hundreds of people lined up at First Baptist Church of Middleburg.
Deputies said Green was killed on May 3 by her ex-husband Murray Lancaster.
"Live life to its fullest, enjoy every moment," said friend Mike Pacilio. "She enjoyed her kids, family and friends."
Lancaster also killed his ex-girlfriend Valorie Short and her father Buddy Short before he turned the gun on himself.
"It's such a tragedy that has effected our community," said family friend Boni Cavin. "We knew all four people involved. It's a good thing they don't hold grudges and they have more love in their heart than you can imagine."
Following the funeral service, a quarter-mile procession took Green's body to her final resting place at the the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.
People walked up a windy and dusty road to pay their respects to the woman who they said always had a smile on her face.
"They will be missed," said family friend Ben Libby. "They will not be forgotten and they can't be replaced."
Valorie Short and Buddy Short were laid to rest on Monday.
