Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday on Highway 17 in Green Cove Springs.
The incident involved a semi that struck a compact car. Both of the occupants of the compact car were killed, officials said.
The semi-truck driver was not seriously injured, according to officials.
The incident closed U.S. 17 and caused major backups.
