ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A St. Augustine man was arrested after he allegedly scared and harassed people at a showing of "Beauty and the Beast."

It happened at Epic Theatres on Friday night and it all started when a woman become distraught.

“She was screaming, ‘Who is this man? Does anyone know him? Someone needs to get him,'” witness Nikki Mulally said.

According to the arrest report, Adam Jockell complimented that woman’s 5-year-old daughter and told her she looked nice in her costume. Then, the child's mother said, his mood changed after he tripped or stumbled – an act many took as a sign that he was drunk.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said he started yelling and cursing at the pair.

“She said that the guy had tried to take her daughter and so I immediately called the cops. The manager came in. Lights came on and the guy was still yelling. They took him out and it was just pure chaos,” Mulally said.

We visited Jockell’s listed address, which is an inn on Ponce de Leon Boulevard. A woman answered and said he was at work. He’s been arrested nine times since 2012 for charges such as battery, violation of probation and simple assault.
