First Alert Weather: Moisture Increase late week, Tracking Dorian

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — ON TV: Action News Jax First Alert  Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh will have the latest on expected impacts for Northeast Florida on FOX30, CBS47:

Thursday evening stays dry and hot before the sun goes down, with overnight temperatures in the mid-70's. Expect a warm and muggy one out at TIAA Bank Field for the Jags' last preseason game!

Onshore winds pick up Friday, meaning a few showers and isolated storms will pop up. The best opportunity for rain tomorrow will start along the coast in the morning and shift inland and south of I-10 by the afternoon. Bands of rain pick up on Saturday and Sunday ahead of Dorian.

Hurricane Dorian is currently​​ north of Puerto Rico and will continue moving to the northwest. This storm will likely strengthen today and through the weekend in the waters of the Southwest Atlantic as it moves east of the Bahamas. Dorian is forecast to potentially target the Central Florida coast Sunday evening or early Monday morning as a major hurricane.

Tropical Depression Erin will gradually move north parallel to the U.S. east coast in the Western Atlantic today. No local impacts are expected.
