PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A judge ordered no bond for the man accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend in Palatka.
Jose "Tony" Antonio Maldonado appeared in Putnam County Court Wednesday morning for a first appearance. He has opted to have an attorney appointed to him.
Maldonado is accused of killing his girlfriend Tuesday afternoon at the Putnam County Health Department off Kennedy Street.
Police said Maldonado and the victim have been seeing each other for about 13 years and have a child together. There was a domestic violence injunction against Maldonado, police said.
Maldonado turned himself in to police.
