Back in January, White became known as the basketball cop. He started a media frenzy when he answered a complaint about a loud group of teens by joining in on their basketball game.
White then started the basketball program, which aims to promote positive recreation.
White went to Lake City Tuesday to present a donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs Teen Town facility, including a portable basketball hoop. He was joined by Chief Argatha Gilmore and the Lake City Police Department, who supports the recreation department programs throughout the year.
