Jacksonville man wins $1 Million from 50X Cash Scratch-off game

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Lottery announces that Jacksonville resident Derrick Watson, 50, has just won the $1 million top prize from the 50X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Jacksonville District Office.

Watson purchased the $5 ticket from Quick Way Food Store, located on 1422 Huron Street in Jacksonville, with the retailer getting a $2,000 cut. Watson chose to receive his winnings as a one-time direct payment of $820,000. The odds of winning any amount from the game are 1-in-3.89, but the top prize is 1-in-5,288,340.
