Adoption in Jacksonville: Action News Jax and Forever Family team up to share Miah's story

Action News Jax is teaming up with Forever Family to share stories about local children in foster care who are looking for forever homes.

Evening anchor Tenikka Hughes sat down with Miah, an independent 15-year-old who is currently in foster care in North Florida. She is a freethinker who is not afraid to speak her mind. She also describes herself as funny and energetic.

"I want my life to be inspiring and different," said Miah. "I like to really just be myself."

Miah is proud to be in ROTC and one day she hopes to join the Army. But first, she wants to find a family to call her own.
