5 people involved in deadly crash, 2 children in serious condition in Bradford County

HAMPTON, Fla. — Two people are dead and three are in serious condition after crashing head-on on U.S. 301, Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Monday evening at around 7 p.m., a sedan traveling southbound on U.S. 301 crossed the median and crashed head-on with a van traveling northbound, southeast of 91st Way, FHP reported.

The sedan that crossed the median was carrying four people. The driver, a 26-year-old female from Starke, and one passenger, a 45-year-old female from Williston, died.

The other two passengers, a 1-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl, are in serious condition, according to FHP.

The driver of the van, a 40-year-old male from Archer, is in serious condition.

According to the FHP report, the two occupants who died were not wearing seat belts, and the two children were wearing seat belts/child restraints.
