STARKE, Fla. — UPDATE, 12/9/2021, 2:30 p.m.:
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh has confirmed with the National Weather Service that the Starke storm damage from Wednesday from 5:15 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. was caused by an EF-1 tornado. More details will be out within the hour.
UPDATE, 12/8/2021, 11:15 p.m.:
According to the Bradford County Emergency Management Division, three homes were damaged and five residents were displaced after the storm Wednesday. However, there were no injuries reported.
The Jacksonville National Weather Service has confirmed it will conduct a storm survey Thursday morning to determine if this was from a tornado or straight-line winds.
Bradford County residents who have sustained damage to their home during the severe weather incident are encouraged to report the damage to the emergency management division by calling 904-966-6910.

There is a heavy presence of emergency vehicles in Starke between Cherry Street and Colley Road due to downed trees from today’s storm.
The Starke Police Department said crews are working to restore power and obtain resources for displaced residents.
At this time, no injuries have been reported, according to police.
According to Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh, the storm hit between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Action News Jax is working to confirm whether or not this was from an official tornado or not.
