‘This family can now start to have closure:’ Lake City police make arrest in cold case murder

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — After nearly six years, the Lake City Police Department have arrested a man for the murder of Kharah Norman.

Norman’s body was found on a Sunday afternoon in August 2015 on Church Street. Authorities said the death appeared suspicious and began working the case as a homicide.

Officers say evidence from the crime scene was submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and after interviewing more than two dozen witnesses over the years, police announced an arrest in Norman’s death.

Printiss Donaldson, 32, was arrested Friday, July 2 and faces a murder charge.

“With the relentless work of our investigators, this family can now start to have closure,” Chief of Police Argatha Gilmore said. “We will continue to work all of our current and cold cases in an attempt to bring those guilty to justice.”
