JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
The Jacksonville Historical Society’s 18th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza kicks off Dec. 1 with nearly 50 gingerbread houses.
For first-time bakers, the young, the old, amateurs and professionals there are all sorts of entries in the 2020 event.
The exhibit opens Tuesday, Dec. 1 and runs through Dec. 27.
The holiday exhibit includes several festive traditions.
There will be displays of the handmade gingerbread creations, lavishly decorated trees created by the Junior League of Jacksonville’s Sustainer members, a holiday bake shop, a quilt raffle that is new this year, a silent auction and online contests for People’s Choice Award for favorite tree.
