JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is fighting for his life after being shot in the head during an argument in the 2900 block of Beachwood Blvd Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police say around 8:05 p.m. they responded to an apartment complex on Beachwood Blvd in reference to a person being shot.
When they arrived they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The man was transported to the hospital by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. Police say the man is in critical condition.
JSO Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit are investigating the incident.
Through investigation, police and the crime scene unit say that it appears there might have been some kind of argument in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
During the argument, another man shot the victim in the head, according to JSO.
Police believe that this was an isolated incident.
JSO says they are interviewing have a person of interest and multiple witnesses.
