Naval training on St. Johns River may cause loud noises for Jacksonville residents

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Naval Air Station Jacksonville will be conducting training sessions starting Monday and you might hear some loud noises because of it.

The training will happen on the St. Johns River from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting Nov. 8 and ending on Nov. 10.

Residents in the area may hear the simulated gunfire and explosions.

NAS Jacksonville says the training held by the Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 10 will enable units to hone their skills to provide security pier-side and in the water.
