JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a shooting was reported on the 7900 block of Concord Circle near Edgewood Avenue on Jacksonville’s Northside around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
JSO said officers arrived on scene to find an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The lifesaving measures officers took on that man were not successful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
But a woman at the scene told Action News Jax reporter Jamarlo Phillips that her 25-year-old brother Tavoris Pratt was the one who was shot and killed.
JSO could not confirm the identity of the shooting victim during a media briefing Sunday evening.
Witnesses told police they saw two black males leaving the scene of the shooting in a white vehicle. Police are working to determine the make and model of that vehicle.
Four witnesses were taken to the police station for questioning and police are still investigating the scene of the shooting.
