Police find 77-year-old man in another state after Silver Alert issued

William G. Mann Missing JSO is asking for help locating William Mann in the Regency area.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE, 1:30 p.m.: The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said William Mann was found “in a neighboring state.”

A Silver alert has been placed as JSO continues to search for a 77 year old man named William George Mann with early onset Dementia.

Mr. Mann was last seen at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 following a visit to a family member in the Regency area. He was driving a 2016 lime green KIA Soul with a Florida tag “IPU K97″.

There is a disabled placard on the rear view mirror of his vehicle, and has a dent on the driver side rear quarter panel, and a “Colorado Springs” dealer sticker on the left rear near the taillight.

Due to the victim’s age and reported diagnosis with early on set Dementia, JSO is attempting to locate him in an effort to ascertain his safety.

A brief description of the clothing that Mr. Mann was last seen in are, blue jeans, a multi-color plaid shirt, and Brown loafers. He is possibly wearing a Black “Vet” ballcap with a Purple Heart emblem.
