He now faces two second-degree murder charges along with home invasion, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
A motion to reduce bond reveals what unfolded on Jacks Road on Feb.15.
According to documents, Gene went with his uncle, Scott Suits, to the home of his uncle’s “weed man” to get unpaid money.
That was where there was an altercation.
According to the report, “Suits handed his gun to the defendant and told him to shoot the weed man if he moved ... Suits later told a friend that his nephew shot the weed man after the weed man ‘went for a handgun’.”
Suits died from a drug overdose just days later on Feb. 23.
