BELL, Fla. — Action News is learning more about the fathers of the six children killed who police say were killed Thursday by their grandfather in Bell.
Family members tell Action News that James Lawson Stewart is the father of three of the youngest children killed yesterday.
They did not want to go on camera but they say the 23-year-old is distraught. Neighbors tell us he is in jail. According to the Levy County Jail, a James Lawson Stewart was there for a probation violation but was released at 11 a.m. Friday.
Action News has also learned that Edward Kuhlmann is the father of the three older children. He is in prison for grand theft and burglary. The 29-year-old is not scheduled to be released until 2038.
