First Alert Weather: Another round of late day and evening storms

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:

  • This evening will be very warm and humid with a few showers/storms in Northeast Florida, especially inland.
  • A few gusty winds of 40+ mph are possible in any stronger storms.
  • Showers and storms will taper off by 10-11 pm.
  • Friday will be very hot with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.
  • The humidity will allow feels-like temperatures to soar to 105°. 
  • Scattered sea breeze showers and storms will develop tomorrow afternoon. Some will contain heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. 
  • The Jags preseason game Friday will feature hot temperatures in the 90s (feels like 100s) but cooling during the game from sunset and/or a few areas of rain and storms nearby. 
  • The weekend will bring highs back down to the lower 90s and a few afternoon storms.
