JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This afternoon, temperatures are warm in the 80s with only isolated coverage of showers.
- Isolated to widely scattered showers with a storm or two remain possible through this evening as activity drifts southwest/inland with time.
- While some rain will be briefly heavy, many spots will stay totally dry.
- Tomorrow will be similar, with warm temperatures between 85-90 degrees and a few more heavy downpours.
- A cold front will pass through our area during the day tomorrow. By tomorrow evening, gusty winds will develop at area beaches.
- Thursday will be breezy and noticeably cooler, with a few coastal showers remaining possible. Highs will be in the low to mid-80s.
- A dry and cool airmass will spread across our area late Thursday into the weekend. This will result in morning temperatures in the upper 50s/low 60s inland and upper 60s/low 70s at the beaches with noticeably lower humidity.
- A great weekend of weather is expected with abundant sunshine.

Tropics:
- Fay has weakened to a tropical depression and will dissipate soon.
- An area in the far east Atlantic offshore Africa could develop but will not impact the U.S.
- The next name in the Atlantic is Gonzalo.
- An active Pacific season continues, with Category 5 Hurricane Polo offshore Mexico.
