Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This morning is dry and quiet, with temperatures in the upper 60s inland and 70s along the I-95 corridor.
- Today will feature a lot of dry time with only isolated coverage of a shower/storm. Rain is most likely to occur well inland today.
- Still an elevated risk for rip currents at the beaches, but much improved compared to the last few days.
- Highs will rise into the 85-90 degree range today, near average for late September.
- Sunday will feature higher chances of rain, with some showers possible in the morning along the coast, gradually shifting inland through the afternoon.
- A few spots of heavy rain Sunday are likely, but still plenty of dry hours are expected.
- The threat for more scattered afternoon storms returns Monday afternoon with heat and humidity continuing through the week.
- Fall starts Tuesday with the autumnal equinox.
- A cold front will sweep through our area late next week, potentially providing another break from heat and humidity by Friday into next weekend.
