JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Excavation workers found what appeared to be a piece of a human skull at a home on Jacksonville’s Northside. The bone was found at the same home where a Jacksonville mother disappeared in 1993.
Investigators are doing an extensive surface search of the area around the home on Dolphin Avenue to determine if the bones found Sunday are human.
The entire block was still blocked off Monday morning for investigators.
It could take at least three days to search the backyard to make sure investigators don't miss anything. JSO is also bringing in an archeologist.

Rhonda Delozier, a neighbor, said "I was coming home from work; I couldn't get in my neighborhood."
According to investigators, an excavating crew found what appeared to be a human bone in the backyard of the same home where Bonnie Haim disappeared.
Bonnie Haim's car was found at the Jacksonville International Airport the day she disappeared, and her purse was found in the trash at a Northside motel.
A judge in 2004 found her husband, Michael Haim, liable in her death.
Investigators say it will take a while to determine if the bone is part of Bonnie Haim’s body or not.
