Jacksonville Sheriff's Office patrol units responded to call Wednesday morning at the Canterbury Garden Apartments on Lane Avenue on the Westside of Jacksonville.
Authorities stated when they arrived at approximately 2:30 a.m., they found a 21-year-old man was shot. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

JSO homicide is investigating but officers do not have any suspect information, according to officials.
