A Jacksonville woman is warning other dog owners after her lost dog was sold on Craigslist -- less than 24 hours after he went missing.
Kristy Bryan said her cairn terrier, Dougie, went missing from her neighborhood off Atlantic Boulevard on July 9.
She posted photos of him on Craiglist and Facebook, hoping someone would see him and contact her.
Bryan learned Dougie had been sold on Craiglist to a family in Mandarin for $300 the day after he went missing.

The woman who bought him told Bryan she met the seller at Walmart on Atlantic and Kernan Boulevard. The seller -- a woman -- posted photos of a different dog in the ad and said Dougie was a Yorkie-Westie mix.
The seller, who said her name was Danielle, disconnected her phone after the Mandarin family pushed for Dougie's vet records that had been promised, Bryan said.
She was driving a red SUV and had long, dark hair and tan skin, Bryan said.
Dougie is now home with his family, but Bryan wants dog owners to be aware of "dog flipping."
"Keep an eye on your dogs," Bryan wrote on Facebook. "We have a disgusting dog flipping thief in the neighborhood."
