Family: Drone to blame in fire that sent teen to hospital in Mandarin

A teenager was taken to the hospital after a fire in Jacksonville Wednesday.

It happened on Salamanca Avenue in the San Jose area of Jacksonville.

Action News Jax Jamarlo Phillips is in the neighborhood. The owner of the home told him a drone is to blame for the fire.

The 81-year-old woman said her grandson plugged a drone in to charge it and it exploded.

It happened inside the garage. The homeowner, her grandson and their dog made it out safely as the fire spread.

The teen is now being treated for smoke inhalation.
