JSO: What you need to know about the Jacksonville Light Boat Parade

The Jacksonville Light Boat Parade on the St. Johns River is Saturday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 9 p.m.

The Main Street Bridge closes at 5:30 p.m. and the Acosta Bridge closes at 8:30 p.m.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is reminding watchers that the bridges are not for viewing the parade.

JSO suggests good viewable locations for the boat parade ar on the North and South Riverbank.

According to the city of Jacksonville, the parade will start at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront hotel and continue along the Northbank Riverwalk to the Fuller Warren Bridge where it will then cross to the south bank and follow along the Riverwalk to the Duval County School Board building.
