Judge sets bond for man accused of CVS robbery in St. Johns County

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man who was arrested with help from U.S. marshals after deputies said he demanded drugs at a St. Johns County CVS pharmacy appeared in Duval County court Saturday.

A judge set Nicholas Dungey’s bond at $50,000 on the St. Johns County robbery charge. Dungey also faces a heroin possession charge with a $25,000 bond.

U.S. marshals arrested Dungey in Duval Friday. Dungey allegedly passed a note to a pharmacist at the County Road 210 CVS Pharmacy on Thursday that demanded prescription drugs.

The note read:

All pain killer, all syrups, all Xanax, all Dilaudid. I'm nice and won't hurt you. Just hand it over. And your car keys."

Investigators said Dungey walked out of the store with two bags of drugs and casually asked a woman in the parking lot for a ride.

She declined and Dungey headed east on County Road 210 on foot toward Interstate 95.

Dungey was identified with help from tips from the community and was later arrested with help from U.S. Marshals, according to St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
