JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The Jacksonville Beach Police Department responded to a shooting near the Seawalk Pavilion at Jax Beach around 7 p.m. Sunday.
Jax Beach Police say someone was shot somewhere between the Pavilion and the Best Western just after 7 p.m.
Police have not named the victim.

Jacksonville Fire & Rescue responded to the shooting around 7:15 p.m.
1st Street at the Jax Beach Pavilion was closed due to the shooting.
Witnesses say that the shooting victim ran for help, and some people did help until an ambulance arrived.
