LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix has issued a ground beef and pork products recall at the store in the Lake Gibson Shopping Center, located at 6767 U.S. Highway 98 North in Lakeland, Florida. This is do to the "potential presence of foreign material (plastic or metal)."

The store is recalling ground beef and pork products with a sell by date of Monday, June 3, 2019 that was ground in the store such as ground beef, ground pork, meatloaf, meatballs and ready-to-cook meals (containing ground meat and sold in the meat case). The recall does not include prepackaged ground products that were not ground in the store.
No other Publix products or locations are affected by this recall.
Customers are encouraged to return this product to the store for a full refund. Consumers who have additional questions or concerns should contact Publix Customer Care at 800-242-1227.
