SJSO: Person wearing Jacksonville Jaguars cap tries to steal Nike shoes

St. Johns County deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying the person captured on surveillance camera appearing to wear a black Jacksonville Jaguars cap.

According to St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, he tried to wear Nike shoes out of a retail store without paying for them and was confronted by the store's loss prevention officers.

Authorities were able to recover the shoes but he fled the store before deputies arrived.

Deputies did not release the name of the store located at SR 312.
