ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — In a school board meeting Tuesday, the majority of St. Johns County school board members said they’re in favor of delaying the start of school.
The district’s superintendent said so far 4,800 are requesting virtual based learning -- about 12% of district, equivalent to three schools. Parent choices are due by Friday.

The district is offering four options: School-based brick and mortar, school-based distance learning, St. Johns Virtual School and Home Education.
St. Johns County schools are asking parents to register their students’ decision by July 17th.
Option 1: School-Based Brick & Mortar
No action necessary; your school will be in contact regarding next steps.
Option 2: School-Based Distance Learning

Contact St. Johns Virtual School to enroll.
Option 4: Home Education
