Suspect flees scene after car chase, leaves wife and 5 children in car

Police are looking for a man who fled his vehicle following a short pursuit in Palatka Sunday.
A bail bondsman saw Brandon Williams driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata around 5:00 p.m. and attempted to pull him over after seeing that Williams had a narcotics warrant out for his arrest. Williams did not stop and a short pursuit followed.
While in pursuit, Williams took off down the railroad tracks near the 1200 block of Madison Street and crashed into the railroad crossing arms. When the Sonata came to a stop, Williams left the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving five children and his wife inside the vehicle. Williams was last seen running near the wood line along the railroad tracks toward Bronson Street.
Officers arrived at the scene and found narcotics inside the vehicle. Police said there appeared to be 155 grams of bath salts and marijuana inside the vehicle. Officials said they will send the narcotics to a lab to be tested for accuracy.
