A University of North Florida dean has resigned after he allegedly engaged in a sex act on campus.
According to a UNF police report, a soccer coach called police and told them he saw two individuals engaged in a sex act in a stairwell adjacent to the stadium's press box at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2.
Police said investigation revealed Dr. Mark Tumeo, dean of the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction, met someone on an internet application named "Adam4Adam" and agreed to meet him on campus.
When questioned, Tumeo told police he was just there to talk to the man about his bat business, according to the report.
He told police the man may have been bending down to tie his shoe, and that may have looked out of place.
After telling Tumeo that the man admitted to their sexual encounter, Tumeo told officers he was there to engage in oral sex, according to the report.
The man was issued a trespass warning and Tumeo resigned, according to school officials.
