JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A popular local pizza chain said it’s making “slight changes” to its pizza.
V Pizza said in a post on its Facebook page that over the years, it’s gotten comments about its pizza being “soggy.”

At one of its locations, staff asked each customer who came in over a two-week period if they would prefer a “firmer” version of the Napoletana same crust. Nine out of 10 said they would.
Here’s the breakdown of how the pizzas will be made:
- Made with the same ingredients (Caputo 00 Italian flour, sea salt, yeast, and distilled water only).
- Slight change in the ratio of water and yeast in the firmer version, as well as mixing in a certain amount of proofed dough versus all being fresh.
- Let the firm crust dough balls proof for a minimum of 24 hours.

“It will NOT be a major difference and there will be no changes in quantity or quality of products on your pizza,” the business wrote on its Facebook page.
The changes will be rolling out in the next few weeks, the restaurant said.
In addition to its 9 locations in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, V Pizza has one location in Orlando and two in North Carolina.
