Video: Road rage incident in Jacksonville becomes violent

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two drivers in Jacksonville were seen standing in the median on Atlantic Boulevard in the middle of  traffic.

In a video, they first appear to be arguing, waving their hands and pointing to their cars.

Then, the incident became violent.

One man can be seen punching the other man in the face and it appears something flew out of his mouth.

The woman who shared the video on Facebook said the men each got back into their cars and drove off.

The woman who recorded this video on her cell phone said the fight took place on Atlantic Boulevard near Monument Road Monday.

She did not want to speak on camera but gave Action News Jax permission to use the video.

As of Wednesday evening, there is no word on the identity of either of these men.

Action News Jax reached out to JSO to learn if they received reports about this incent, if any officers responded, and if either of the drivers were arrested.

This is the second case of violent road rage to happened locally so far this week.

Sunday, a St. Augustine man was arrested for pointing a sawed off shotgun at another driver on State Road 312.

Road rage is becoming more violent each year, according to an online survey. It's considered the leading cause of accidents with one-third involving a gun.
